  1. Hey we tried that new Mexican place in North Bend.
You are right, the food is bland. We tried the other Mexican place here in Coos Bay and again, bland.

Hey lets open a place of our own !

  3. So shark bites does not have fresh seafood? or just not all of it is fresh? Have never eaten there, but heard it did..? Speaking of good food, if you want "real" meat... hamburger, sausage, steaks and the only place I can ever find fresh red snapper....its at Rays food place in Bandon. I forgot how good it was until I shopped there last week. Man I am NEVER buying these things anywhere here in Coos Bay again. Oh, they sell those big hot dogs like Langlois market has too!!!!!!!! Can't find any place that even compares to their meat here...

  4. The last time I was at Shark Bites...their food was frozen, breaded and deep-fat-fried. ALL of it. NOT one ounce of fresh seafood from this area. It's been a while since I have been there, maybe it miraculously changed? "Fresh frozen" is not FRESH seafood. But I love the name, "Shark Bites! " Bandon is not Coos Bay! Seeeeee, Coos Bay is wrong, just wrong! hahahahaa

  8. You know what they should do in Coos Bay, is on the boardwalk in the summers is have like fresh fish tacos or some sort of stands where tourists can by samples of seafood that is fresh and to eat right there, or buy and take home to make for their family.

  9. I totally agree !! The Seafood floating market put down there would be great .....if they had tables you could sit at! Last time I was there, they have frozen food from Maine? Portland? Maybe they have fresh food now...but no where to eat it. But yeah, great idea!!

  10. There was a guy that was selling something, I think it may have been snapper, fresh from his fishing trips, off his boat in town at the harbor... But I didn't see him this last summer!! Stocked up on my meat again tonight in BANDON. I usually buy some fresh seafood (I don't THINK its been frozen???) at Albertsons...

  11. Just ask them, if they say...yes, it's "fresh-frozen." Then it's frozen!! Ask them when they got it...if they say they just got it off the boat this morning...then YUMMY!
